Fantastic Fan Again

Reading all these comments on the Fantastic Fan, Can someone tell me what about wind? They close ok with rain, but what about wind? I had a Fantastic Fan on my TT but the wind would really whip that cover. ( no auto on fan) Do you put a Maxxair over it or what? Thanks ahead of time.

Gene and Rose, Just as soon as the wind starts blowing I close my Fantastic Fan because the little motor works very hard to close it. The wind out here in Northern Nevada can sometimes come up with no warning and of course there are the dirt devils that will carry off anything setting out side.

We have not put a cover over it yet but I know that some have and I am sure someone will be along soon that can tell you all about the covers.

I put the MaxAir's on both FF's on my Sunntbrook because they didn't have the auto open/close feature. It states in the catalogue that they are not for auto open/close model FF's. They have a larger model that I believe are for the automatics.

We have the larger Max Air Covers on our FF's. They are automatic and they work fine with the covers. I know some of you had a problem with them sticking or not fully opening but we haven't had that happen. We did learn about the fuses in them. Every now and then they don't work...we just wiggled the fuse to make the connection. Maybe the vibration when travelling works them loose or something.. anyway we are going to have that checked out soon.
