I can't believe that we are going camping in Gettysburg tomorrow for the weekend! Will try to find a campsite on top of a big hill!

Just heard from my sister in law in a small town just outside of Tampa and her Mother was in the hospital and they called her and ask her to come get her and take her home cause they were sending everyone home that was not in deaths door.

Well as I sit hear and think about every one in the path of this storm I pray that the lord will take care of and watch over each and every one in the path of this storm.

You all keep us posted on what is going on.

My mother-in-law is in a nursing home near Seminole and I was just informed that they have evacuated the home and moved the patients further inland. My neice in Clearwater has her house boarded up and is about to evacuate.
It has been a long time since a hurricane has hit the Tampa area and according to all reports this is going to be one that won't soon be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers got out to everyone caught in the path of this one.

I'm a sucker for watching webcams around the world. Here are some links to some in Florida that were still working last time I checked them. You'll be able to see hurricane Charley's progress if the webcams haven't lost power yet:

Very interesting, an hour after you posted, several of these web cams are not coming up with images.

Even more intersting, one showed 2 people walking along the ocean on a beach at Ft Meyers and one near Clearwater, showed several boats in the harbor.

I just heard they have upgraded the storm to Level 4. Our continued prayers for everyone down that way. Be careful!!
