residential fridge door . anyone else have the problem of the door not closing tight on there residential? i think it is because of the bar they have on it across the front between the fridge door and the freezer to secure it. if not closed tight you get faint beep noise which i can neve hear (but then again i can barely hear a freight train anymore. my wife hears it but not me. am looking for ideas to secure the fridge somehow and get rid of the bar. anyone have any comment on this it would be great. even if it is only "mine does it also"

I have the same fridge, and a similar one at home with the bar you are talking about. I have had to learn to close the left side first. On mine, there are nubs at the top and bottom that go into a slot on the door frame. You can try lubricating it with some oil on your fingers to make it easier. Some light oil like light machine oil or even olive oil will do the trick.
As far as the beeping noise, it is very quiet. Don't know how to make it louder though. I have a standing freezer that will put out an air raid siren if the door is left open. :-)

We had a similar issue with the left door closing properly in our old rig w/res. fridge.
The solution was to adjust the door by adding a washer to the bottom hinge pin.
I found the washer in the packet with all the other documents on the rig.
