Recommend carrying on the back instead of the front

We have two fat tire RAD e-bikes - about 80 lbs. each. I use a double Hollywood brand bike carrier connected to a Curt 2” bumper mounted receiver- with bumper support brackets. We’ve traveled thousands of miles with no issues. Those hollow bumpers will not hold a lot - but they are strong enough with the bumper supports for the two e-bikes and rack - even with all the bouncing of the back of the trailer.

Yes. We have a front hitch, with a rack by Motow.
The setup is MUCH more secure than a hitch on the rear of the Montana.

The best part: we can drive to the bike trail without having to wrestle the bikes into the bed, or move the bike rack off the Montana

We had a receiver added for that purpose. I found the obstruction not worth the risk of having them there. Our E-bikes fold so we now carry them in large crates inside the unit. The plus side of the front receiver is I do haul my bike rack up front then move it to the rear when we travel from bike trails in the area we are visiting.

The rear of a fifth wheel just takes a beating, and I have the IS system.

I bought my front receiver hitch from Etrailer, it's a Curt one. I haul my motorcycle and bikes with it and it works perfect. My ebike carrier is a Swagman that is RV rated
