Thank you everyone for your inputs and time. I am in the process of upgrading to a dually just to be safe. We plan on being in this for the long haul, better safe then sorry!

All this conversation, especially from the dreaming SRW people trying to make something work out of something else and it always boils down to money. The above Quote is the only true answer to the question. Or you can just buy a dually and forget about the worry if you put an extra lawn chair in the front compartment.
Lifes to short to worry about evenly distributing weight in already over loaded truck or camper.

The pin weights vary a lot in percentage. My Mountaineer was listed at 2015 lb by Keystone. Gross weight listed is 14000 lb. my actual pin weight over the scales is around 2400. That is 17 per cent. Keystone weight is when it is empty and shipped, I believe. Anyway, the per cent varies greatly by where the axles are placed. If way forward pin weight is less, and backward more.

Many others have posted their scale weights and they get close to 30%. You just have to scale it and find the real answer.
And money isn't the only issue with going dually. I store mine in my single car garage door, so a dually won't work for me.

Hummm.. not sure how to take this. "dreaming SRW people trying to make something work out of something else and it always boils down to money"
Respectfully, my decision to go with what I have had NOTHING to do with money! An I don't regret it one bit! Cheers!

I`m sure you don`t with the unit you have but we are talking about different animals when you get up to 41` and a great deal of storage compartments to put things in. Pull 41` at 16,000 lbs down the road you`ll see/feel the difference between the SRW to a dually.....in the rain, in the wind, with the pinheads racing around you doing 70 MPH. But then I speak from experience. Got rid of my SRW after the first trip.
The OP has made the correct decision.
