After traveling to California and back home in Alabama that 32 gal tank has got to go....I ordered a 50gal titan tank to replace the stock tank.

I added a Transfer Flow 35 gallon to bed, automatically pumps into main tank, works great

My F-250 has the same 26 gallons but the tank in the bed has an additional 40 gallons. I decide where and when to fuel up!

I added an RDS 60 gallon, tool box combo to my 2016 F350 dually. Gravity feed. Easy to install.

I always carry 5 gallons "just in case" and have never had to use them. All through the western states and into Canada. I think I have the same 32 gallons in my 2014 RAM CCD 2500.

I did the exact same thing to our new RAM cummins. But, I must be slower than you; I left the factory tank on the last 2 trucks and just complained about it the whole time.

I guess I'm getting older. We only travel about 200-250 miles per day and that usually equates to about 1/2 tank. My 2014 F350 has a 38 gallon tank though. I considered putting an aux tank and toolbox on my truck, but I would end up never using the additional fuel and weight would be pointless, for me at least.

I had to use our extra 5 gallons we carry when I needed to stretch our fuel range in Texas.

When your coming from the west coast it’s nothing but pulling until the mid states, and no way to get 10 to 13 mpg doing so on an average. In 2500 miles I averaged 9.7 mpg, west coast mpg was between 5 and 8 mpg with a combined weight of 27,000 lbs and side and head winds. Once we got to the mid states and no winds it jump to 10 to 11 keeping the speed at 65. When we travel we do 400 to 500 in a day, most of the time it’s for work so we need to make miles per day.

We can get 40 gallons of diesel in our 08 F350. We average @ 300 miles per day or less and get 10MPG or so. When we first started out we listened to the facebook experts and took 2 5 gallon cans of fuel along.We returned @ 7K miles later with the same cans of fuel. We have not had a problem getting fuel when we needed it.

Before our next road trip I'm going to get a 5 gal can. We have come really close a couple of times due to climbing mountain roads. Once going to Vernal Ut on N191. Going up and up and up. Looked down at the gauge and knew we were in trouble. It was eating diesel climbing that mountain. Finally got over the top and coasted as much as I could on the downhill. Very happy to find diesel in the next town.

Looking at adding a 41 gal tank / tool box to our F-350. Our previous F-250 only had 26 gals and that was a pain. The 350 has 35/36 gals but I like the idea of an extra 40 and it will allow me to buy where I find the best price. The duelly has no weight issues so that is not anything I need to worry about. Just my thoughts. Happy Camping

My 2016 only has a 26 gal tank SO....I added a 35 gal tank in the bed and use an electric fuel pump to transfer the fuel when needed Love it.

Same here, but the Dmax has a 35 gallon tank and I added a 43 gallon tool box/tank combo in the bed for a total of about 75 gallons capacity, but I usually never have more than 25 gallons in the aux tank. I do about 400-500 miles a day on the long trips and fill at the end of day wherever I like. I don't like the electric transfer pump - it's kind of a pain. Looking for an in-line system but Dee Zee doesn't have the adapter yet for the 2020's. I love the combo toolbox/fuel tank but getting awful close to my weight limits. If I lose 20 pounds from the waistline I can carry a few more gallons of fuel

I have a 2019 F-350 DRW LB and recently replaced the OEM 42-gal tank with a Titan Generation 6, 65-gal. My reason behind this decision is to refuel less often and have extra capacity. I use the TSD Open Roads fuel card to find best price while traveling. On our return trip to Salem, OR from Phoenix, AZ - without towing a rig - we refueled once. IF you're going to upgrade to a larger tank, be sure that the installer can reprogram the chip for the tank you're getting before leaving the shop. In my case, the installer couldn't do it and they recommended a different shop that could do the reprogramming. The calculated range went from around 690-ish (OEM tank) to 900-ish. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

This is why I wanted a larger fuel tank, as it is I have to stop 3 time to make the 450 to 500 mile range depending on the terrain and wind, it takes 30 to 45 minutes each time we stop for fuel at the truck stops which I prefer to use.

Thanks for the tip on the TSD fuel card, I just went through the website and watched a few YouTube on it. I sent in an application, I mainly use pilot/flying js and loves.

Update..just seen another video on this TSD, sounds like Pilot/flying js has banned TSD card do to there terms for use only of commercial vehicles. I guess I’ll find out when I get the card lol.

Yes you are correct at pilot and flying J because of the contract they have with good sams. But tying can open the map up and it will show you the prices around you. I just filled up the truck 48 on board and 50 in the bed of the truck and by using the tsd card saved us like $49.00 so yes it’s worth it.

Best prices are at TA Truck stops. The fuel card is the best thing out there in my opinion. I know some people don’t like giving them their info, but they are extending you credit. Make sure you download the app too. You can see the fuel prices on a map.
