Butch's bed saver latch kit
I have a Blue Ox bed saver for sale, all sandblasted and repainted.
I like the lighter latch-pin idea, that is what I went to.
Check it out:

Oz, I have had Butch's system on my last two hitches and really like it. Easy to install/use and good quality for the price. Although I did not need them, I thought it was really nice that they included the proper drill bit, nuts/bolts, center punch and even gloves in the box when they ship.

Butch runs a class act.
I didn't run into you at New London Sue base, when I was down robbing a ham from the boat's cook one day did I?
I was a machinist at the big machine shop there.

Yup, had the same on my unit for the past two years. Now I have a different truck and hitch. Need to contact Butch to see if he has one for my Trailersaver. I have an email into Butch. On my truck, I have nothing to catch the Monty if it falls off, except for the hitch going through the front cap.

I've got one too and it gives me a sort of "peace of mind" condition. On my first trip with it the steel retainer cable pulled out of the slide bar. So now the slide bar sits in the bed of my truck. No big deal!

We've had one for about a year now and wouldn't be without it. Such a simple peace of mind gadget.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago, and it was really easy to install. Those bits that Butch sends are very sharp and go right thru the metal with no effort.
Took about 20 minutes to install.

I had one on my Reese hitch but don't feel the need for one on the B & W. I also feel that it is a quality product.

Not surprised they're out of stock. They're cheap, do the job and come with bits and everything you need to do the job. Stay after it, it's worth it in the end.

Just got an email about the out of stock Pullrite latch kit. Butch had knee surgery and having problems with his tool and die source, said 3-6 weeks before back in business.

Good wishes out to Butch, he is a good guy, just a working stiff. He does electrical service calls, he and his wife run a small electrical service business. We talked for quite a while about our service calls.
I hope he comes back strong, when he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. I hope the Latch business gets on track soon also.

Good to know. I've been considering buying his product for my Pullrite hitch.
