Rain fan not shutting off when closed

Howdy. My 305rl kitchen fan which has a rain sensor is not shutting off when it is closed. It keeps trying to close more. Is there a stop switch that is going bad or a sensor unit that needs repair? I can open it all the way and stop the fan but I have to close it manually and I’m not 8 ft tall!! Thanks

There are a couple of manuals that can be downloaded at this site that may help you. It does sound like something is not working as the fan should not continue to run with the lid closed. https://www.dometic.com/en-us/outdoo...ent-3350-21213
