closet door track problem
found that the 'sticking' door on the mirrored sliding door on our 3295 is caused by screws coming loose in the top rail track. It seems that the mounting board is not too thick. Anyone had to rapair theirs and if so, what did you do to fix?

I had the same problem last year and I drilled new holes, (about 6 I think), and installed larger screws to hold it up, then replaced the oem screws with larger screws. I think I overdid it with about 10 screws in it. Rock solid since then....

The material above the door track seems to be ⅛" fiberboard (could you get any cheaper?) and is way too light for that load. There doesn't seem to be any substructure there to run screws into. I'm trying to think of a type of hollow wall anchor to use there but I dont want to make huge holes for a butterfly anchor. Any ideas other than running a dozen screws in the end of the rail?

I have similar issue developing with my bathroom sliding door…but i have not started working on it yet. I assume i will find the same thin 1/8” ceiling panel…not much to grab when i reinstall the track. My track is hidden behind a wood valence. I will try to glue and screw some thin plywood 1/4” or 3/8” and then mount the rail to that. I think this will be similar to Ram Montanas suggestion in his post above.

I recently fixed my half bath ships door using a method that Daryles came up with in a post from the past and it works smoother and better than ever. I have not disassembled the main bath sliding door to look at the components but if i can use the same fix on it - my door
troubles will be over.

My husband adjusted the top rollers on sliding closet doors. Unit was 6 months old when it jumped the tracks
