A warning for all Hoosiers - (Indiana folks)!

Attention all Hoosiers remaining in the state for the winter of 2023-2024!!!!

Snow, snow, snow .... So the persimmon seed has predicted! It's a spoon this year.

We have 3 persimmon trees in our yard and the persimmons are dropping ever day now. We're making persimmon pudding, persimmon cake, persimmon bread about every other day now. Also, our chickens are laying great right now, so those persimmon recipies are all really, really rich with absolutely fresh eggs from home grown, range free, bug and weed seeds fed chickens!

Here's the photos. If you are staying put this year, get the shovel out!

Also, if anyone is interested, the Persimmon Festival in Mitchell, Indiana is going to be held the week of September 23 this year. We're going this year!
