Keyless entry
I have a 2011 345dbq mountaineer and want to add keyless entry. Yes I have looked at rvlock v4 and right now that’s my runner up on choices. But I really like the carmtek. Things that stand out to me no plastic parts it’s all metal. I really like the larger keypad design most of all. I think it would be easier for my parents to see and me too. The design seems really nice as well.
Do any of you have any experience with the carmtek lock?

I have the Carmtek but mine is the 8 digit model. It works well for us and we like it. The only issue is battery life. It seems like the most I get out of a set of batteries is 3 months; even if the unit is in storage. I contacted Carmtek and they said that was about right; depending on usage. I do not know how long the batteries in rvlock last.

Our RV Lock batteries last well over a year. This is our third unit with RV Lock.

3 months is horrible and that would seal the deal on going with RVLock, which we have. Their service is top notch too.

We have the Bauer Digital lock on ours, and this summer while at our SOB Rally had all locks changed to a common key. No longer have to carry around a key ring with multiple keys.
And our Bauer has been in going on two years and still on first set of batteries and we're Full time so it gets lots of use.

Update
Well I went with it and I love it. I love the keypad which will be much easier for my parents to use. I like the all metal design. It is well made. Works so much better than the original door handle and you can’t lock someone in the Rv now.
Very happy with the purchase. I don’t live in my Rv and if the battery becomes an issue I will use rechargeable batteries for when I use it. But so far so good.
