Closing in on choice
Bill and Sue, been canping for years, going to trade in Hornet travel trailer for a 2005 Montana 3400RL or 3685FL? Have to order new truck, F-350 diesel DRW 8' box supercab. Great info on this site about anything you can think of.

Welcome Bill and Sue to the MOC family.
Those are 2 great choices. I myself like the 3685FL for the front livingroom but because there is no option for recliners rather than the 1 of sofas I would have to chose the 3400RL.
Either way you will be getting a great rig and a new truck to boot, what more could anyone ask for.
Good luck

That is an awful hard decision. They are both gorgeous.
I know as we look it's difficult as one model will have some features we really like but lack others and then the next one is the same way. We never were able to find one that had everything we wanted.
Maybe making a list of what features you are looking for and then narrow it down to the unit which has the most of them.
There are a lot of RV Shows coming up all around the country, if there is one coming to your area that may be a great way of seeing some of the newest models that Keystone has introduced.

Bill and Sue -
Congratulations on your choice of the 3400RL. I know you will love the Montana. We bought ours off of the lot last August - same chicken or egg dilema you have. We had a Tahoe and a TT and needed a truck to pull the fiver. Bought the truck one weekend and the fiver the next. We were fortunate that we found one on the lot that we liked. Keep us posted on the delivery and birth of your new unit.

Congratulations, Bill and Sue! Excellent choices. You probably know it's a good idea to get about 500 miles on the truck before introducing it to towing. I can sure imagine your excitement. Wow, a new Montana AND a new truck!
