Self Leveling problem
I’ve got a question for my fellow Montana owners. My husband and I have just purchased a 2021 3761fl. We’ve owned it for 2 weeks. It’s been parked at my sisters house while we poured a concrete pad to park it at our house. Everything has worked fine until yesterday when I went and picked it up and bought it home. I get it home and unhook and press auto level. The RV does it’s normal process of dropping the front down and stays there in the down position until the display reads time out. I change the angle of the trailer a little to try to make it as level as possible and and again go through the auto level sequence with the same results. I clear it out the error code and done a manual override. I lower the front gear the pump makes a strange noise and stops. Now when I hit any button up or retract all I get is a clicking sound at the solenoid. No movement in the gear just a clicking at the solenoid. Does anyone have any ideas? I’ve looked for blown fuses or tripped breakers but haven’t seen anything wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on what we can do? Thanks

Don't feel bad. I am having problems with my leveling system also. I can't keep 2 of my out rigger's up. Bad year for leveling systems I guess.

Was it connected to shore power when you were making all these attempts to auto level. If not is it possible the battery is discharged?

Two things:
1. Weak battery. I know you said its new BUT... take the battery to an auto parts store and have it tested. I know you said you had it connected to shore power but the hydraulic pump pulls a LOT of amps. It will not run off your converter alone if your battery is weak.
2. Check your red self resetting 50A circuit breakers in the battery compartment. When you are running your hydraulic system do you hear clicking noises coming from them when it cuts out? Lippert put out a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) about putting the hydraulic system on its own 80A circuit breaker.
Download the MyLCI app from Google play store. It has all the manuals and TSBs etc.
You can search threads on this subject. Also find part numbers in the files section of this website.

I don't think he said it was connected to shore power. This is more of a question but believe it to be true, if the battery disconnect switch is operate doesn't it keep the converter from charging. Might be one more thing to check. If operated turn it back to the normal position where the key can't be removed. Plug the unit into shore power and let the converter charge up the battery. It will take a few hours if the battery charge is really low.

You can check the battery voltage on the manual scroll on the key pad. It will show you if you have a low voltage problem without removing the battery.

I agree with the others it maybe your battery is weak. Most likely your dealer only put one battery in your unit. They should put two in because of the draw on the battery. The dealers don’t have to give you two but they should.

When that happened to me, I had unhooked with my trailer front end below level and when I engaged the auto level the trailer’s front end went down to the ground and stayed.
When the front end isn’t below level my autolevel works fine.

What did you do to fix it? It’s a Brand new 2021 with 2 batteries! We’ve done everything above . Batteries are fully charged and it’s plugged in as well. Still no luck . Thank you everyone

Thank you batteries are fully charged and plugged in . We’ve looked for a reset button as well . When you push the button it just clicks at the solenoid.

The front must be higher than the rear to start auto level or it will drop to the ground.

When you say the solenoid clicks, to be sure, you are talking about the reverseable solenoid?
If so it might be bad. There are troubleshooting procedures to jumper this for testing purposes.
There is also procedures to manually drive the jacks up/down using a drill to drive the pump.
Use the MyLCI app.
You can also call Lippert help desk. They are very good.

Well, after doing the battery check etc., I hooked it back up to my truck and drove 25 miles and found an RV dealer. When I went to show him what was going on (unhooked, raised the front end manually and drove the truck out), I hit the autolevel and it worked just fine, lol.
The parking lot was level. Unlike the campground pad that was sloped, putting my front down when I unhooked the trailer and hit autolevel, causing the front to go to the ground.

We had the same problem because the front of the rig would not go low enough for the auto level system to work. After a few tries all we got was clicking from the solenoid and the dealer ended up replacing the pump motor. These motors are small and burn up quickly if over used.

It states right on the label next to your control pad that the nose must be above level before attempting to auto level. When disconnecting, if the nose is lower than level, use the jacks to raise it until it is above level, then & only then, hit auto level. You can use the arrow buttons on the control pad to scroll through the screens until you see the front/rear status screen to see if your nose is above level.

I had something similar happen. It was the large fuse. I had replaced the original with an 80 amp resettable fuse. I forgot that you had to reset the fuse by flipping up the switch next to the red button. LOL! If you haven't replaced the original 50 amp fuse, you should.
