So, towing, my sweet spot is 67. When not towing, I step it up a bit. On our local roads where it is posted 55, I usually do 60 and seldom catch up to anyone. On the interstate I'll run 10-12 over the posted limit and will pass about as many vehicles as will pass me. I figure as long as someone is going faster than me, the po-po will go for them.
Now in NJ on the Turnpike, it's a different story. I'll go 80 and I'm the slowest car on the road.

a 2 lane hwy i drive all the time. has become a death trap due to speeders, fools not staying on there side of the double yellow lines. or just not turning off there high beams/flood lights.
does not matter your speed. as others will always want to go faster. crazy part is by the time you get the the signal lights you are back with them anyhow. in 45 miles three stop signs, and four lights. but at least the lights are all at the freeway.
then on the freeways. it gets even worse. at least no stop signs or traffic lights any longer. last one was removed 5-7 years back.
