Christmas came early this year

Santa Claus was dressed as a UPS driver and dropped off 5 boxes for me yesterday. I got a disk brake kit from Performance Trailer Braking for our 2019 3561R Montana. Looks like everything is here. Now I have to wait for the installers to get here. The waiting part is going to be tough.

How much do the installers get now for the install?

Nice! I'll be doing that before long. Is the hydraulic pump there?

I was quoted a price of $1000 USD for the install. The hydraulic pump is in the lower right corner of the picture inside of a plastic bag with an orange tag attached. The pump is roughly about the size of 12 x 12 x 12 inches.

My son and I put that same kit on our 2013 3402RL...took us about 4 hours total time to R&R everything, including wiring and plumbing. BE CERTAIN that any/all flexible rubber brake lines are NOT rubbing any trailer frame edges as time and vibration WILL rub through that rubber line...I know from a near disastrous incident that will happen!

Had mine installed at MorRyde and it was the best thing I have done for my camper.

I am not near my records, but I believe it was about $3700 delivered to my door for my unit. My unit has Two 6000 pound axles. I upgraded hubs to 9/16 studs from 1/2 inch studs, new bearings and lug nuts plus the standard kit.

On my 2016 3911fb I had 8k axles, brakes and shocks put on. They put everything on right at the campgrounds. Then had to trade camper because there was a big crack in the wall next to the door. Got a new Montana that came with disk brakes. Never own another one with out disk brakes.

Definitely worth the wait. They installed mine last year and I have nothing but praise for the product or the installation. One thing I would have done differently would have been to drop the underbelly and have all the brake line tubing installed so it was protected by the frame rails. If I decided to drop the underbelly now I would have to disconnect the brake lines and remove so they don’t get damaged.

The total for the disk brake kit from Performance Trailer Braking was $3,130.00 USD. As of yet I do not have a date when the installers will be here to my home to do the brake upgrade. I am looking forward traveling with the new brake system.
