2021 new "downgrades"

Hi all,

We are looking at purchasing our first Montana. We love the 3790RD floorplan but will need to order to get the options we want (dual pane and Legacy)

Seeing a non-Legacy unit in person, and online videos, it seems there are some "downgrades" compared to prior years...
-no MORryde rubber pin box, but a Rota Flex instead. RF is not compatible with our Anderson ultimate hitch and it's well over $1000 to have dealer install a MR...
-backsplash is terrible... appearance is not good and touch it once you can see it feels like what should go in the lowest end models
-stove / oven combo instead of in counter stove; looks better and more functional before? Also the stove top grate is now cheap lightweight metal instead of cast iron
-one drawer with one door on left side of stove, instead of bank of drawers

So, some nice upgrades but seems to be several downgrades to me...

What do others think? I have not been able to see the past couple of model years in person to know if these changes are just "different" or if they really are downgrades.
And, are any of these changes above just on the early 2021 we saw? Or will we expect them to be on a new 2021 when we order it?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

Brad

I would call Keystone directly and ask them rather than a dealer.

If I were spending this kind of money I would shop around.

I've got to agree with this. We've owned 3 Montanas all bought new but IF there was going to be a 4th we would take a closer look at other brands while being cautious selecting the dealer. One dealer with the others and they are EXCELLENT.

True, but I've confirmed with Anderson that this basically makes the RF into a solid pin box -so I have an extra heavy pin box that does nothing for removing the chucking and bouncing... been there, done that, don't need to do it again.

On the other hand, the MORryde pin box with Anderson hitch on my Jayco has been the best towing 5th wheel I've ever had... by far.

Oh well, I guess I should realize that just because manufacturers sometimes get it "right", doesn't mean they won't make changes next year...

And, BTW, we are not going back to a Jayco as they seem to have a dated interior and seem to have even more "downgrades" since we purchased our 2018...

Thanks!
