AC Filters

Hello all!

We use our 3760FL quite a bit for travel and play, and also when stored - family is always coming over and staying in it, so we use the AC quite a bit. How often do you all change the filter? I know it depends on usage, but just looking for recommendations. Thanks!

No idea how old your rig is or what A/C system you have, but on our rig, and we full time in it, our A/C's are running almost nonstop during the day with over 100 degree days, I have to clean/replace the filters monthly.

We also full-time and clean ours monthly as Bob suggested. It is amazing what little dust it takes to slow the air flow down. I have two sets so I pull the dirty ones out and replace with the clean set. Then I clean the ones I just pulled out and let them dry and ready for next month. I got the extra set from trekwood.

Our camper is in use 24x7x365 also. Filters get clean about once a month or when I notice a build up of dust on them. Because it's a sponge type material, I simply rinse them backwards under running water, wring them out, and put them back.

I also have two sets and our AC's run a lot even at night here in Kansas so I clean them every two weeks. You'd be surprised at the amount of dirt in there after just two weeks.

$5 a piece online for these filters seems way too pricey, has anyone bought a roll of filter material and cut their own? If so, where did you source the material? I like the idea of keeping 2-3 sets to exchange, clean and dry and repeat...

You can buy these at Lowes or Home Depot and just trim to fit.

Thanks. I could only find 4x12 and my return filters are +/- 6x13.
