We had a piece of TP stuck on the black tank sensor. We knew tank was empty but sensor was reading 3/4 full. We bought Calgon water softner from Walmart. Poured a solution of 2 cups of Calgon + 1 gal of water & 1 cup laundry detergent (I used Tide) into toilet. Rocked RV back & forth several times (with TV). Filled black tank with water to full, then flushed tank & hurrah, sensor read empty.

We had a major plug in another trailer years ago. Since then, we have put used TP into a step can with a garbage bag in it. The lid makes sure there is no smell, and I replace the bag every day. You put it in soiled side down.

No need for expensive RV TP, we use whatever kind we want, and as much as we want. Never had another plug, and don't have to do any of the things people are suggesting. Easy fix. I don't understand why more people don't do it.

having wintered in mexico 4 months a year for years we just learned not to put tp in the toilet, have a waste basket we use. a little gross but it is the mexican way...never had to worry about any issues with toilet.

I completely understand why more people don't do that.

No way. No how. Not gonna happen.

I am more interested how the paper breaks down for days 1 through 7 since We can normally go more than 10 days per black dump.

What we put down in the last 30 minutes prior to dumping, will not cause a clog.
