Finally, getting an RV.

Been without one for 2 months. Finally, made a deal with RV Outlet in VA for a 2022 295rl. The wife and I are looking forward to making the trip from San Antonio in about a month. So excited. Saved 7k from all within 1000 miles from me. And thought, road trip and save 7k, sounds good to me, lol. Will post pics when I can.

Best of luck, with your new Montana. It sounds like you are familiar with the RV world. We bought ours 500 miles from home because of the service. Never even got a second quote. We see on the forum all the time where people are without their RV’s for months at a time. We make an appointment, bring it in that day and drive away in the evening. May you have nothing but good memories.

Way to go Mike! Glad you found your 295rl! May I suggest you download one or two of the PDI (PreDelivery Inspection) that are here on the Forum. Just to to the Search engine at the top of the page and type in PDI or Pre Delivery Inspection and you should find them. They are the best things to have when picking up a new or used unit. Don't sign any papers until you get done with your PDI and make sure the dealer takes care of everything you have found wrong or missing before taking it off the lot. You have experience with units but don't take things for granted. Check EVERYTHING! Good luck and hope to meet you sometime down the highways and biways of the USA!

Yea, I know, that's what I did with my first one. However, life has forced me to change the plan this time. I paid for it without even seeing it. I'm depending on the dealership to look it over and let me know if there is anything that needs to be addressed before I get it. The dealership had some of the best reviews. So, unfortunately I'm taking a pretty big chance here. But, I'm also getting it for far less than any other offer I could find. Hoping for the best expecting the worse, lol.

Mike,

We ordered our 2021 thru them. Great price but they are a volume operation. Please check everything yourself. We had a number of issues (some we're just now getting addressed). Mostly minor issues, but we had to have replacement parts shipped to us and I did the work myself (my preference).

Good to know that they're willing to ship parts. I would rather do the work myself anyway. On the pickup date, I'm going to be installing the Reese goose box hitch. I'll have a check list for the wife for her to inspect. We're planning on staying at a nearby resort the first night before heading back to San Antonio.

Congratulations on the new trailer, plus a road trip to go. Definitely worth the drive.

We purchased ours there from Kelly, outstanding prices and everything was as advertised. We drove from Florida.

We also have the 295RL and love the floor plan. Just don’t like the cable slides. Get a replacement kit or two and read up on how to replace them in case they snap at the wrong time/place (imagine that!). Have the tools too. Keep an eye on them… 👁

The 2022 doesn't have cable slides.
