Is this an entry door light switch?

2011 3150RL.
Entry door looks like there is a spring loaded switch about half way up on the hinge side. No light comes on, but wish there was as it is dark coming inside. If it is, which light should be coming on & where do i start to troubleshoot?

I stuck one of these on the left door jamb inside about 18” above the floor. Open the door and feel for the switch. My switch is a little different from this one but same concept. My unit does not have an entry light switch that is easy to find in the dark.

On our rig, that plunger switch operates the ceiling fixture just inside the door plus the ceiling fixture on the opposite side on the ceiling. It's possible that maybe the switch is faulty. https://www.trekwood.com/products/14...Door-SPST-N-On Maybe the bulbs are burnt out.

That switch should activate the overhead dome lights in the door area (three or four of them). These are the same lights activated by the switch in the control panel labelled "Ceiling" (bottom row, 3rd switch from the right on my 2012).

If neither switch activates the lights be sure the On/Off switch physically on the dome light is set to On. If the panel switch works, then the door switch has a problem. It is easy to remove and test.

Thanks for the tip Carl & Susan. The ceiling switch does work the 3 lights above the entry, kitchen, refer. I'll tackle the door switch in the morning.
