Solar Power For The Fridge

We have a 2022 385BR Montana High Country.

Our solar power was working fine. Now the refrigerator isn't working on solar while we are traveling. Any suggestions?

Also our power jacks don't work correctly. We have reset them and sometimes they work and most times they don't.

The first thing I would check is the battery voltage. Low voltage would explain all your issues. Make sure your solar is of sufficient size to keep your battery charged.



You gave no details about how much solar you have, or how big your battery is, and what kind: Lithium. LA, etc.

The fridge doesn't run on solar. It is powered by your inverter which converts 12 volts DC to 120 volts AC. The solar just assists in charging the batteries. If the fridge isn't working check the inverter operation. I'm assuming the batteries are charged and working. Depending on which solar package you have, you might have a remote inverter control panel. See if the power light is on. An easy reset for the inverter is to cycle the inverter battery cutoff switch. Basically the inverter should always be on when using the RV. Do you have a solar flex 200 or a larger package? This will determine what what equipment you have.
