Bedroom Slide on 3231CK
I’ve set my rig up for the first time and have insured that it is level front to back. I do have the auto levelers, but double checked using a 4 foot level. But for some reason, I am unable to get the bedroom slide level. Obviously, the rig is level front to back and side to side, so any adjustments I make will throw that off. The bedroom slide is on rails and not cables, so I’m not sure if it’s an installation issue or an adjustment issue. Curious if anyone has experienced the same. If so, did you have to take it in to the dealer, or were you able to make an adjustment on your own?

Dan,
In what way is the slide not level? Is it fully extended with seals meeting on both sides and the top?

I don't think you will find 2 places in the unit that have the same level. The kitchen counter, the floor and the slides all are a little different in mine. But I don't really notice it. If you put a marble on various surfaces it will roll one way or another - never flat. My opinion.

The slide is all the way out and appears to be meeting at the seals. I checked level from the slide trim and it’s level front to back. However, when I check from the “end table”, either side, for side to side it’s off by about a 1/4 inch. By that I mean, I can lift the level up on the ODS side about a 1/4 inch and get level. Same reading from the valance and from the placing the level against the ceiling.

Twindman,
I agree and maybe I’m being too much of a perfectionist, but since it’s our first go in this rig, I’m probably nitpicking. We actually have a very level set up, but notice the front door is a little stiffer than our old TT, so I’m in trouble shooting mode. Went around checking level and the bedroom slide is the only place where we are off. May not even be a problem and just something we need to get used to, but I’d kick myself if I allowed myself to get used to something that’s a problem.
Thank for the feedback. Really appreciate it!

I agree with earlier comments that there are no 2 places in an RV with the same degree of level. Same is true in my S&B house. You just need to decide what level will mean to you and calibrate the leveling system accordingly. You might need to make an adjustment to the bed platform so that it's comfortable when the trailer is leveled.

Could it be the friction hinges on the door that make it feel stiffer?

That’s what one our neighbors suggested. The screen door kept sticking when we’d open the door from the outside. But I adjusted the latch grab on the door and that fixed that. It’s just a different door, better quality too, than I think we’re used to.
Thank you for the reply!!
