I am the OP. I have a Southwire SurgeGuard that I always use whenever we "plug in" even at our stick and brick house. I am curious: if I got one of these "dogbones" with the 20 & 30 amp male and 50 amp female would I be able to run both AC's? Maybe we have an electrician out there that could shed light on this?

It's my understanding that if the 20 amp Duplex is a Ground Fault it won't work as it will trip the Ground Fault, but have never verified for myself.

In previous discusssions of the 20/30 amp plug the following warning has been made several times.

If the source at the post is 30A, then that's the most you will have now matter how you connect to it. I would look into the Microair Easy Start system for your AC's. That will help a lot when 30A is all you have.
