Will I Need...
...a dehumidifier for the winter? Winter here does not get terribly cold, from Nov 15 through Feb 15 it will be below 40 degrees, with one months time at 30 or blow. I don't expect it to get below 10 degrees or so. I must admit that in '02 it got down to nineteen below zero. I forgot to plug in my p/u and my fuel gelled. Poured in some anti-gel and in 1/2 hour up and at them again.
If I need one, any recommendations. I do have some chemicals, however, generally, I think that could be messy.

I got one of these and it works fine. I put it in place of the LR table (Mountaineer 31RLD) and made a new table top which I mounted to the wall. The unit is pretty quiet but you can always play around to make it even quieter.
Comfort AireŽ Dehumidifier (BHD-301D)

If you are not using an un-vented portable propane heated than I would not worry about using a dehumidifier. The last two winters if it got the tiniest bit damp in the rig all we did is run the fantastic vent for about ten minutes and it was fine. Our problem was that it stayed to dry most of the time. We bought a small humidifier for the bedroom. There were mornings that I would wrinkle my nose and it would bleed. I don't have really sensitive sinuses but when it gets very dry I get very uncomfortable and the dry sinus headaches start. We have really not had a humidity problem during the winter... Dave

If you are camping in Pasco, you probably won't need one if you vent when showering and cooking. We were there the last week of July and the first week of September and it was so dry that we had sinus trouble.
It really depends on what the outside humidity is. If it is dry outside, then a little venting works great. If it is cold and damp outside then a humidifier will come in handy. We bought a small one, about the size of a coffee maker, so that it would not take up too much space. It is probably too small to be of much help and I wish we had gotten a size bigger, but we don't need it very often.

Seems strange to hear of a climate that you need to DE-Humidify . I'm getting ready to set my humidifier to run for the winter here in CO. If not, I will shed my outer skin like a snake by February .

I got mine from Ace because I use Discover reward gift cards and they had the best price.
