3820FK washer/dryer help
Hello,
I’m curious if anyone has found a solution specifically for this model Montana (3820fk) for the washer/dryer hook up in the bedroom. Instructions/recommendations for that model ask you to vent the dryer in a wall that leads directly to the bathroom (not to an outside wall). And, the space is so small, I’ve had an RV technician/installer tell me he can’t vent to an outside wall. Just curious if anyone has had this problem or figured out a work around, that doesn’t involve a ventless combo unit. Thanks for reading.

You did not say what year model you have - but looking at the floor plan it appears to be an easy straight shot to go behind the washer/dryer units with the dryer exhaust.
Try this for the heck of it...google "2017 Keystone Montana 3820FK" and you will get lots of advertisements for units for sale at dealerships all across the country. If you click on "videos" then you will get sales videos that generally include a walk around the outside...or just click on some of the units for sale and they will have photos. Look for a shot of the drivers side rear and some of those units will have a dryer exhaust vent and this will give you a general idea where they have been installed in other units. I found the screen shot below in one of the videos and I sketched in the washer dryer units + the way the exhaust goes to the exterior wall.

Take measurements of your washer/dryer closet and post back to this thread.
Maybe your RV Tech was wrong!

They probably recommend going to the bathroom, because when running the dryer, you can then turn the roof fan / vent on in the bathroom to pull all the moisture out. Personally, I think that's an awful idea.

When we had our 2017 3820FK we had 8 different techs provide recommendations, 7 of those advised against it, we had installed a king mattress which made it nearly impossible to fully open doors. We changed models and now have a 3231CK.

I found this video for a 2019 3820FK. The screen shots below show the dryer vent thru the exterior wall and the salesman opening the cabinet to show (what I think is) a combo/vented washer/dryer...so the vent can be installed thru the sidewall.
