3790RD awning replacement?

Hi! Our awning ripped and needs to be replaced. Websites are telling me I need a 19' awning, but mine measures only 16' (just over 17' from arm to arm). Anyone have this issue? Anyone have a part number or recommend a replacement? Just need the fabric, the rest is fine.
Cheers!!

Search Amazon for a 16' replacement.

Here are the instructions on how to measure for replacement fabric.

To correctly measure for your replacement awning fabric, measure the distance from the center line of the left arm to the center line of the right arm. Round up so that the measurement is whole foot increments. The awning you are replacing will measure approximately 10″ less than the distance between the arms.

I just replaced my awning. If you unroll it and look up near the top on the underside by the edge, there is a sticker with part no, etc. I couldn't get a good look so I took my camera and zoomed in and got the pic. Then I had to rotate it 180 degrees to read it. LOL

We replaced our awning ourselves on our previous 2014 Montana. We purchased the replacement from Tough Top Awnings. They have great instructions on how to measure the replacement size. It's your choice to go with the OEM awning fabric or an aftermarket replacement, do it yourself or take it to a dealer. There are a ton of videos on YouTube that detail the process.
Good Luck!

Oh, also be careful what you get - that is why need the model number, etc. Apparently they changed at some point. Old ones like mine have motor inside the roller. Newer ones have the motor external (I think mounted on the side railing).

Probably the motor difference is because of the differences between Dometic and Carefree awnings. I know neighbors Dometic are internal while my Carefree are external.

We had a very nice camper repair shop. The owner told me how to replace the fabric without taking the frame off or disassembling it.
Extend the awning, take the fabric off the camper, drill a large hole in the end of the tube through the slot that holds the fabric in and take the off through that hole. Debur the hole and slide the new fabric through that hole.
That would be much easier than disassembling the awning, no springs to worry about no bolts to take out, easy. And the next time will be easier no hole to drill. He didn’t say what size hole to drill. That would take some experimenting. A slot maybe 3/4 X 1 inch or longer would work.

The instructions for measuring your awning noted by Carl & Susan are what you will find everywhere. I replaced our awning this past summer. We purchased it from Tough Top Awning and are VERY happy with it, so we highly recommend them. They will provide you with instruction videos and phone support.
