What solar system did you get? 200, 400, 600 or 1200? My 400 has two 200 watt panels.

One panel on a 21 model should indeed be indicative of a 200W panel. I'm surprised you didn't have some sort of sticker near the entrance door stating such. On second thought, I probably should not have been surprised at all. Can I safely assume you have a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75-15 charge controller? If so then you should definitely have the same 200W base package we have in our MHC.

In 2021, they did not have the above designations; your choices were "Solar Flex" or "Super Solar Flex". The solar flex option included 1 solar panel and a small inverter with 5 outlets inverted. The super solar flex option included 4 solar panels, much larger inverter and all outlets and both AC units were inverted.
Just to confuse things, though, early in the 2021 model year, the units were shipped with Jaboni 265 watt panels, but by the time we received our unit in November 2020, the model year 2021 units had been upgraded to Jaboni 300 watt panels. We have a 2021 3791RD also, and chose the Super Solar package and as noted, we have 4 of the Jaboni 300 watt panels.

So, it would seem you have the regular "Solar Flex" package and that your single panel will be a Jaboni. What I cannot tell you is whether that single panel is a 265 watt or a 300 watt. That can be determined by the serial number of your unit.
You could try Keystone support directly, but we were told to directly contact the solar company that provides the gear to Keystone. The main guru there is Matt Wolkins, and his email is mattw@futuresalesrv.com . I have found Matt to be very knowledgeable and very responsive.

BTW, why are you asking? Are you having issues? (Matt can help diagnose). Or, are you looking to add more panels? If so, then you could add other brands but they would have to match closely; or Future Sales can sell additional Jaboni (or Victron) products, and even offer installation services at their facility. Matt is the place to start.

All the best with sorting this out!

Brad

Thank you for response From your info I believe I have the solar flex package m not having any problems just would like to know what I have. I will reach out to Matt Trailer was brand new off the lot but no info on the solar system in any of the info . Guess it would have been to hard for montana to include that in the manual

That's odd since the brochure states differently The brochure says Solar Flex 200 was standard. 400 and 1200 was optional.

My bad that's a 2022

Yes, I think by the 2022 models, they had expanded the options, and adopted the new naming schema.
What is often the case with RVs, unlike with cars, is that even major changes might be made during the course of a model year. So, it is entirely possible that late 2021 model year runs could also have adopted the new solar packages (I don't know that for sure, rather just noting that major changes like this do happen and often add a lot of confusion for owners trying to sort things out).

Thanks for the update; sometimes folks ask questions then disappear, so we never know if they got what they needed.
I'm glad Matt responded so quickly and that you got the info you needed!

Now, if you ever really start using your system off the grid, keep Matt's email handy - we love having the 1200 watts of solar and over 500ah of lithium batteries... it is absolute freedom to go almost anywhere at anytime.

BTW, if you want to see some ideas on DIY mods, I started a thread here - https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=84665

Enjoy your rig, they are fantastic!

As Brad mentioned, there were lots of changes over the past three years. Also, Montana decided not to offer the 600i, for some reason. Many of the early Jaboni’s on Super Solar (now 1200i) failed and were undersized. Many upgraded to Victron 50 amp charge controllers. In 2022, they changed the solar equipment back to the front bay instead of under the steps. They also had a period of time where the Battleborn Gamechanger wasn’t certified so they went back to 6 100ah batteries. Then there was the dreaded PD Transfer switch failure leading to the switch to Southwire. So, when talking Solar, it is critical to know timeframe, which solar package and what equipment you are running. Also, many dealers are not telling their customers about the Keystone app that has a section on each solar package and how it works.
