Slide awning repair

I've got a 2022 Model 3120RL and all three slides have slide covers. The cover for the bedroom slide recently had a problem in a high wind storm at Heber City Utah. The fold that is in the "C" channel on the side of the coach came unglued for about 2 feet of its length. It's on the rear side of the slide. It appears as though these are simply glued together in a loop. I figured they ought to be sewed. At any rate, any suggestions on how to make a repair? Are these loops inserted into the "C" channel, then the cord shoved through?
Thanks for your anticipated reply.
Doug

I did a video on how to remove and repair slide topper awnings several years ago. Ours was sewed and the stitching and fabric had rotted out. We replaced one awning because of the sun damage but were able to salvage the other 4 by removing them, cutting off the sun damaged fabric and having them re-stitched. You have a couple of options:
1- Take the awning off and try to re-glue it
2 - take it to someone who does upholstery repair and see if they can double stitch it. Be sure to take the plastic cord with you so they sew the cord inside of the fold.

The video will give you the basics of removing and reinstalling the fabric
