Had the 12v fridge in our last SOB. My opinion is that they are awesome. Cool down much faster than either residential or RV fridges. Can't say the power consumption, but the small SOB TT we had only came with a 50w solar panel. As time goes on and the technology continues to improve, Should our GE side by side residential unit goes kaput, I'll be putting in a 12v unit so long as the manufacturers are making extra large units.
Just FYI - ours kept ice cream hard as a rock!
