Furnace Electric Draw

This may help some of you with electrical usage/battery draw. There are two of us traveling with Super Solar. My battery meter showed 40 amp draw (vs 10 amp without) while the furnace ran. The other Ron with Super Solar saw 20 amp total. We finally tracked it down to the furnace fan being on auto. The fan needs to be off.

Thanks for the info. Was the additional load the heat pump fan running or something else?

Yes, it was the heat pump fan. I have seen a number of posts where people had this happen, especially on the Facebook group. In the desert, we were using about 15% more battery than our neighbor on cold nights. We have been trying to figure it out for two weeks.
