Pin box replacement
Due to obvious stress on my 2013 3100rl I started looking into replacing the Mor ryde with a Lippert Flex air which offers greater reduction in unit vibration. Called Lippert and described what I had and it sounds like they don't offer anything that size. No one seems to have answers and then I wonder what consequence it might have on my extended warranty. Any thoughts?

We have the Flexair pin box and we still have a lot of shifting in the cabinets. As bad as the roads are these days I do not think you can get around without having things shift. I would think Lippert should have a direct replacement for the MorRyde.box. We also bunggie our doors if we can to keep the doors closed.

If you use bungee straps on the doors wherever possible it will certainly solve the problem of some cabinets opening on rough roads. For the cupboard doors we can't bungee together we try to store low profile and light/soft type items in those cupboards.

One solution, but not a cure all, is to have the Mor/ryde IS (Independent Suspension) installed. We traveled over 17,000 miles last summer all the way from Florida to Alaska and back, including the Infamous Top of the World Highway and never broke anything or had doors opening. Did a similar trip this summer all the way to the Northern Tip of Newfoundland, and again no issues.

We get shifting sometimes...many due to crappy roads. We tow at 60-62 and try to minimize bounce by speed adjustments. Use foam covered twist ties from home depot to tie cabinet doors closed. Haven't had anything break. We also do not tow with water in fresh water tank as that just makes it possible for more bouncing. Same for spare tire, but also because it is a pain to get down and out. Find out what number of pinbox you have (like 1621 or 1716) )and find a Trailair or Reese Fifth Airborne distributor and order one corresponding to your pinbox. ETrailer has tolerable prices as does Tweety's and PPL Motorhomes.

Ron if you call Keystone they can give you all the numbers of the more ride pin box that they installed on your trailer, and E trailer can cross reference those numbers to what ever style pin box you want, that's how I got the right pin box for my Monty I got the air ride pin box for mine and love it.

Don't quite understand why a pin box change would stop interior things moving & coming loose. Your truck bouncing would be the motion transmitted through the pin box. Things moving about and coming loose are more likely caused by your axles/tires and whatever suspension you've got there.
We're half way home after our second over nine week long vacation, with stock suspension and pin box. We've had only a few instances of things opening or moving about, traveling over 15k miles at 60 to 65 mph over some pretty cobby roads and that's not counting our other trips. In three years, we've had a couple of Walmart drinking glasses break, but nothing else. Can't believe our old Ford has a better suspension than any other truck either.

Walt ... although each persons driving habits and TV set up has an effect on stuff staying or not staying in place during travel, an air cushion pinbox does help overall. I swapped my MorRyde with a Fifth Airborne pinbox and found the ride much less jolting.

I have called Lippert and they say they do not have a pin box that will swap out with what I have. Keystone has no recommendation but warns of warranty issues if I do change it

went with Reese 5th airborne, won`t go back to a solid pin box ever, Did a test one day to prove it to a friend, we road around with the correct air pressure for a while then I got out and let the air out so it retuned to a solid connection what a difference I had forgot how bad it was. Friend bought one the next day.
