We are planning a trip to the Salton Sea area and I am sure some of you have been there. Can you give me some info on the area. Thanks

Hello Jim & Rae,

Welcome to the MOC, We were down at the Salton Sea last year, but not with the Monty. We came down to Anaheim for a week ( to see the Eagles in a concert). We rented a car while we were down and one of side trips was out to Palm Springs, Indio and the Salton Sea. We have a friend that comes down each winter and stays at a RV park down the east side of the Salton Sea not far from the top. It really looks like a neat place to explore around. There was a State Park on the East side close to the top also. Heres a site with a few camp grounds

John, That second photo reminds us why we come south for the winter. Like Carol, off subject, but just couldn't resist. Great photos...
