You don't have to take that battery out, you have a new battery, right??? With that new rig??
I know you get cold weather, but what is your average temp for the winter months??? is it 40, 30, 20 10, 0???? I thought you said your temps can be milder than people think.
If you are going to use the rig some, don't take the battery out, just be sure it does not run out of water from constant charging.
We have left the battery in our boat and in our trailer for a number of years, fully charged. So far, we have not had a bit of trouble. Our lowest temps are rarely lower than a negative 5 (-5), just for the record.
We used to take the previous rig to Gaylord, where they really have winter, and much colder temps than in lower Michigan and leave it up there from Christmas to Easter, and ski. We would go up for 4 or 5 days at a time about every 3 weeks. We never took the battery out, we never had trouble.
We never take the batteries out of the remote controls, etc. And, so far, every spring the remotes work first time.
That is how we do it, we all do what we feel is right and makes us the most comfy.
