To Skirt or not to skirt
Hi We bought a 2010 Hickory Edition 3665 with the Moving to Montana package. The basement is heated. We are thinking about putting skirting around the bottom and around the front. I know there are several ways to attach them. Snap, twist lock and velcro. WHich way is the best and is it better to skirt it all or just the front? We were thinking it would be a nice place to store chairs, charcoaler, tubs of things we might need, when they are not in use.Trying to keep the patio clean. Any comments or thoughts on this? Thanks for your input in advance.

We have ours skirted all the way around. I used snaps because I didn't think the velcro would hold up on cold windy days (JMHO). My main reason for skirting was to block the cold winter winds from blowing under the RV and it does help. We also park our motorcycle under the bedroom overhang and the skirting gives it an "out of sight out of mind" level of security.
We purchased our front overhang skirt from Camping World and the rest of the skirting from here:

I full time in Ohio. I would definitely skirt. I have not as of yet but only due to lack of funds. Otherwise it would be done.

I have full timed in Kansas for the last 4 winters (last Army station) and have used a skirt. I would not go with out one. The initial investment was high but a figure it has paid for it self over the last few winters. I have a vinyl skirt with turn buckles and snaps. It goes up easy and is portable.

it will be one of the best investments you make! Lots of storage area and sure helps keep the rig warm. We have spent 3 winters in ours so far and no issues with anything freezing. Easy up and down and hauls folded in the bags. just do it!

We have the front skirt that we use here in Floprida for the winter. It does help keep the front area warmer and great for storage. Use snaps. The velcro will not hold in wind and cold. If I were cold weather camnping I would skirt all the way around. Keeop that air out of the bottom.

We have the front skirt. It is great for keeping the hitch out of sight and we also keep the small refrigerator, table, chairs, tools on portable shelves, etc. A good addition would be a small skirt to keep the wind out from around the front legs. That would also help keep things out of sight. I will have something figured out for that by next year.

Skirting questions: I am having this done in the next few weeks. How are the skirts normally attached to the side of the slides? With snaps, etc., it seems to me that there would be a problem with the gaskets when the skirts are removed and the slides taken in for traveling.
Also, does anyone put a shop light or small heater under the installed skirts to improve the beneficial effects of having them?

Whats the average price for these skirts that go all the way around the unit? Might be interested in something like this to help keep the rig a little warmer. Is there also a web site for them?

When in cold weather, I do everything I can think of to make it warmer. We have drafts in and around the corners of the slides, I stuff old socks in those small holes to keep the cold air out.

Dear Skirted: Asked this question above but the 'skirted world' did not answer.
Can one attach the skirts to the sides of the slides with snaps without damaging the gaskets when un-skirted and wanting to bring in the slides?
I don't want to use Velcro because I don't think it would be strong enough to hold up the skirts. I am using what are called 'A-rails' for most of the attachment points.
