Winter Finally over!!

Looks like winter is finally over. Hope all made it without to many issues. We're staying in Kansas and really only had one bad spell with the temps dropping below 0 for a couple of days. We experienced no problems and am very happy with the protection offered by my monty. Looking forward to spring and the good weather.

Happy traveling ahead.

Good for you! We aren't so lucky up here - it looks like it's our turn for nasty weather. Last week we got 12 inches of snow and another 12 is in the forcast... O well, I guess we need it.

Not here. Tomorrow ice and snow. Should make driving interesting.
We got a total of 59 inches of snow in just February. Knew there was a lot in my backyard. Hope it melts slowly or we will have to buy a row boat.

That's what I was thinking when I read this Ozzie, We had 8-10 inches last week with a half inch of ice underneath and round 2 is supposed to hit later today and last for a few days again. Hopefully they get all the power back on to those in eastern Iowas before this next one hits.

It snowed in Hemet last night! I don't think spring is here yet! It didn't stick but it was coming down. We are so far below our "normal" rain level we don't care what form the moisture is in.
Happy trails............................

No snow here! It's been mid 70's to low 80's for about a week - can't wait to get our rig and get on the road!

Wish we could say the same. We really had a mild winter snow wise and it was almost gone. Last week Mother Nature started to throw snow at us again. Every day we get little blizzards off and on and we have several inches on the ground again. Ugh!

Phil, I used to live in Fairbanks for a number of years, Seems like all I can remember is Freeze, breakup, hot short summer, freeze. That's four seasons right?
Lived in Anchorage for sometime too, Worked for Sears. Graduated from West Highschool. I probably lived there for 3-4 years, couldn't stand it anymore, so packed up the family into a 10 foot camper, turned the keys in to the stor, and we left. Wound up in of all places, Alabama!!!
Been in Wahsington state for over twenty years now, and am getting tired of rain. Think when we move the MOnty for the last time from here I'm going to take and umbrella with me and the first person that asks "what is that thing?" is where we'll stay for while. My web feet are getting sore.

Phil, you may only have 2 seasons, but that "almost winter" must be a gorgeous time! Seems everyone's dream vacation around here is a trip to Alaska

It's pretty crazy around here today also. Woke up to snow all over everything, then while I was sitting here, thunder and lightning make an appearance. Now it's raining cats and dogs as they say. Whats even more confusing is the property management guys around here are so bored, they're scraping the parking lots with their snow plows. Nothing to push but water...LOL I guess they want to break in the blades on them plows since we've only had one major snow storm all winter...LOL

Rick, We are considering Spokane area for our next stick house, if and when we give up fulltiming. Seems like more 4 season weather there.

Brad. I must admit that for those 2 months of almost winter, it is quite nice, usually. Can also be a rainy summer as last year...

I think the worst is over. After I posted the last-it was 61 and we grilled out for dinner, went to bed and woke in the early morning to hail and then to 3 inches of snow. It was all gone by noon since the ground was not frozen. Either the spring like weather was a tease or the winter was just saying I'm still here. Either way, I'm ready for spring and some warm weather.

Snow is on it's way here in central Ohio tonight, Saturday and Sunday. No spring here yet. But it's suppose to warm up sometime next week (they say). Spring can't come soon enough.
