That looks like the same snow that was here in Wa. last year. We had 20" in Olympia for Xmas. Glad you have it and we don't!

John,
Someone forgot to tell you when you purchased your RV that you need to head South BEFORE the snow.

My goodness, I sure don't envy you two. We got about an inch here and I thought that was too much, I'll keep it!
We are leaving the 28th, hope to see you in warmer weather.

John - that looks very familiar.

I hope it doesn't damage my slide toppers!

I'm going to try to push it off of them today when I get home from work...

John nice pictures! That’s a lot of snow; I take it your camper is at the stick house and you’re not staying in it right now, is that correct? I remember we had a snow like that several years ago when we got about 30” it simply brought things to a stop. We only got about 2-4 inches here and it staid mostly above freezing throughout the storm so it didn’t amount to a lot.

Bill N Donna,
I am parked at Ft. Meade, MD FAMCAMP. The slides are cleaned off. The parking pad and road have been opened up. My son-in-law brought over his snow blower. The blower and I made easy work of that job.
Tomorrow I will bring in the slides and get the snow off the roof.
Plan on pulling out the 26th for warmer weather.
Merry Christmas.

John,
Too bad you can't get that snowblower up on the roof. We have been in that situation, it's really tricky getting that snow off without damaging the roof and all that stuff sticking out of it. Good luck with that and safe travels.

When we had snow like that, we actually just left it there, and let it melt off as we drove south. Will say, our gas mileage suffered. SIGHHHH We had about 12 inches up there, by the time we packed and had heat running for several days, it had melted down to and inch or two of ice, then about 5 to 7 inches of snow. SIGHHHH Most of the snow blew off in the first few miles, and then the ice melted over the next day or so.

There was NO way I was letting Al get up there and risk falling off. Nope, eat the gas $$, oh, well.

Good luck John! But, please be careful up there.

John, going on the roof would be high on my list of things not to do! Besides the obvious dangers of falling off, the cold roof might not react well to being walked on. If you're headed to warmer climates, let nature remove it for you.

We had that much snow on ours once and were worried about large chunks coming off the roof while driving down the road and causing an accident.

I went up and did my roof and used a broom to sweep off the snow. I stayed in the middle of the roof and had no problems. In my state it is illegal to drive with significant amount of accumulation on the roof of a vehicle. consider what happens to the vehicle behind you when a large chuck of frozen snow lets loose. This law was pointed at the tractor trailers but covers all vehicles.
