2017 Fall Rally - CHARITY - REMINDER

Each year at the Rally, our attendees have generously supported a chosen local charity. We are again recognizing CCS (Church Community Services). CCS was created 49 years ago as a program to address issues of poverty in the Elkhart Community. Their mission: CCS is a faith based agency helping people of Elkhart County weather life’s storms and build more secure futures through emergency assistance and intensive job and life skills training. Today, over 50 churches work together to support programs that benefit: families, conducting men’s and women’s training sessions, food bank, vegetable gardens, etc. Their website is www.churchcommunityservices.org if you would like to learn more. They also sell gift baskets, soup/cookie mixes and warm hand-made mittens. CCS was recently named Not-For-Profit of the year by the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce.

They are in specific need of the following items:

Toilet paper
Soap
Shampoo
Deodorant
Feminine hygiene products
Diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, body wash
Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Hearty soups and ready-to-heat canned pasta meals
Box dinners (hamburger helper-type)
Cereal
Canned fruits and vegetables
Rice
Pasta
Tomato sauce
Peanut butter and jelly
Monetary or gift card donations (Meijers) are also greatly appreciated

There will be a clearly marked charity tent set up to drop off donations. Thank you in advance!
