Sailun Tire

Should I be concerned about this crack on one of my sidewalls? My tires have about 15 -20k miles on a 2021 Montana 3761FL. The other three tires look fine.

I would have a tire shop look at it. Looks like something sliced your tire.

I had two like that. Replaced them as we headed to Alaska. Discount Tire recommended having them changed. We also had one that slipped a belt. Wasn’t worth the risk.

I agree with Ron. There is probably no problem but for the price of a tire why take a chance with a 100 K camper?

Replace, a blowout can cost thousands of dollars, never mind down time.

I am gonna guess that your tires tires fall into the recall that came out back in 2021... Have you checked your tires ??

And YES .. If one of my tires looked like that it would be replaced..

Looks like an odd cut v. crack. Either way, I'd change it out.

Looks like a cut but might be worth checking the mfr codes on the tire as Sailun had a recall in 2021.

Here’s the link and what to look for:

We had something like that with a tire years ago, it was a small slice from something we had apparently ran over, I didn't recall hitting, but Discount Tire guy said it was a slice so they replaced it free with road hazard coverage. Most likely something that was near a corner when i turned.
