Anyone using one of these.
See talk of Facebook that seems they are well liked by campers.
Thanks

I too am curious about the Blackstone. I have seen a few videos and it looks great and easy to transport. We are used the Coleman Road Trip. Anyone using the Blackstone?

We have the 17” also and leave the “normal” grill home now. You may want to consider the 22” since it has two burners allowing some heat control where the 17” has only the one. I just move things to the outer edges etc when I need different heat control.

I have it. Bought from Walmart with the stand last spring really like it. Have a 40lb bottle with a ( Y) attached supplying that and a Colman grill to actually get the grill marks.

I have the 36" and a 22" and love them. I use the 22" when just the family and the 36" when cooking for the friends when up to 13 campers go.

After looking at the Blackstone I bought the camp chef explorer instead. I added the griddle and the grill and I really like it because I can also do large pots of fish fry on the same grill.

Would love to have a Blackstone but just don’t have room full timing. Have to figure what can go in order to make room for it stowage.

I have the 36” at home, but would never consider it portable enough to take camping or anywhere else for that matter. We love it, but I’m not sure how the smaller units would work. One of the advantages of the griddle us the larger cooking surface and high cooking temps. I still use a Weber Q for camping.

Old thread got brought back up so I’ll respond.
We bought the 17” and it’s great for the 2 of us.
It takes a little getting use to due to a little uneven heating but that works for moving food around.
Breakfast is the #1 meal followed by blackened red fish.

We bought the 22" with stand. I use it at home and when camping. Just right for small groups. Doesn't take that much roomv- was carrying a Weber Q.

We have been using the camp chef 3 burner with griddle and grill box for 7 years now. Several campers in our group have one so when we camp together, we only set up one of them and take turns.
You can cook for an army on it.

We did buy the Blackstone 22" with stand and hood from Walmart. Also bought the cover. The hood makes it a bit heavy. We may remove it. I stows easy in the basement. Absolutely love it. We used it at home to season it and try it before putting it in the camper. Breakfast is easy and quick. Did patty melts, cheesesteaks, bratwurst, omelets, pancakes, sausage. Everything came out great. The Roadtrip grill was always a pain to clean. The Blackstone is a breeze.

I have the 14 inch 2 burner Camp Chef with the big griddle and love preparing breakfast. I purchased the storage bag as well as the cover and store it in my basement. I also enjoy cooking on my Traeger tailgater pellet grill which will handle 2 Boston butts, or 8 porkchops or 2 whole chickens and much more. I can smoke and cook without staying with the grill. This also stores in the basement and both are easy to load and unload.

We have had the 22” for one year now, and worth every dime. We cook everything on it., and so easy to clean up. It’s fun to go on YouTube or web and get our next meal ideas. I wanted the Tailgator, but the grill was so flimsy and cheap looking. Just catch one on sale and buy one. You’ll never look back.

I always thought of the Blackstone as a uni-tasker. I bought the three burner Camp Chef with multiple accessories.

My most common set up is the two burner BBQ box with the single burner griddle but I also have the pizza oven, two and three burner griddles.

I upgraded from the 17inch to the 22 inch. I do 90% of all the cooking when we're camping and we rarely cook indoors. I do just about everything on it and cleanup is very simple. We leave our Coleman grill in storage. I still bring my smoker on the longer camping trips.
