Disc Brake Hydraulic Cylinder
After sitting since April, I brought the trailer up to the house, backed it into its spot and took it off the truck. I then heard a loud "motor running " sound which turned out to be coming from the Hydrastar brake actuator HBA 16 1600 psi. It was like it was stuck on. I rehooked to the truck and operated the brakes several times with no change. I then cut the 3 wires to shut it off. It was getting quite warm. Before I start tearing apart the unit, does anyone have experience with this problem. Is it fixable or am I in need of a new actuator?

You didn't pull the Emergency Break-Away switch by chance? I would start there first, then work my way to the Pump.

I believe I just solved my problem! The emergency brake cable to the truck was not undone when I pulled away(I,m rusty on unhitching) and the hydrastar actuator was activated when the pin was pulled out. I put it back in, connected the wires, and no more running of the hydrastar brake actuator.
