I have the Salium's on my 35' Montana since new in June 2020. I have never covered them and have approximately 50,000 km on them now and they still look great! Lots of tread and no cracking on the sidewalls. I keep them at 100-110 psi cold. I will replace when they hit 5 years or 70,000 km (43,000 mi), whichever comes first. Sounds like your RV Tech was trying to sell you tires!

Before you consider going to Sailun G rated tires, you need to make sure your rims are rated for 110psi. G rated tires are inflated to 110ppsi.
Look on the inboard side of your rims for a stamp.

Thanks, I never thought of checking the rims for PSI Ratings.

Thank you for this information. I received conflicting information about rim ratings; this clears it up!

I think ironically, tires last longer the more you use them. Obviously, notwithstanding the tread wearing out, tires that are used say once a month for a couple of hundred miles will probably do better than the same tire that sits for 3-4 months. I currently have Sailun's - zero problems touch wood.
