What's Under the Bed? 2002 Big Sky

I am full time in a Montana Big Sky, 2002, for almost 4 years. Love it! No major problems! Would like to know what is under the bed? My sister in law says there's motors under there. The man I bought it from gave her a full tour and treated me like a tag along....so I really don't know. I would like to make the bed twin size so I have more room. Thank you!

Mod Update: Post moved to a new Thread more appropriate for the topic.

CES, your hydraulic slide cylinder is under the sub floor under your bed. I think you will have a major problem going to twin size because the platform is queen size. You could build a whole new platform and cut it down, but that would be a real project.

Thank you! I have done a lot in here already...once inside no one believes it is a 5th wheel. I will ask my nephew to help me look. My husband passed away and I sold our house and bought this. Best thing I did! It's kept me busy fixing it up! Thank you again!

CES, the easiest way would be to move one side in, although your cylinder would no longer be centered on the bed. Since you are making it smaller, there shouldn’t be any cost, just time/labor.

You can watch this video and see what it looks like under the bed.
This video shows a guy replacing water damaged flooring in the slide under the bed. You don't need that info - but he has to take the bed apart to get to the floor.
