Need help with replacement of complete awning

Hi,
We have an 05 Montana that we purchased in the fall of last year.
When we purchased it the main awning had been removed.
We would like to install a power awning into the same location as the old manual awning(I assume it was manual) Can anyone recommend a brand or store to help with this? We purchased one and had to send it back because the portion that attached over the neck of the camper was to tall.
Any help would be apprectiated.

Thanks,
Joe

I replaced mine with Dometic A&E. Dometic has a variety of choices, to include fabric or vinyl. I purchased from ShadePro, they had a help desk that was very helpful working us through the ordering process. I only replaced the awning itself, tube and arms were in good shape.

Look for videos on YouTube of the care free Colorado Awning.

I really like the pitch memory feature.

I replaced my old manual awning with one from Solera. Purchased it on Ebay. You want to make sure you order one with "short arms" do it will fit your fifth wheel.

I would think the biggest problem will be finding and running the wiring for a power awning. You would have to run it down the outside wall or somehow thru the roof.

On my rig, the power arm mounts on the other side of the bedroom dresser. Ran wire from inside of dresser to the basement. Used zip ties to attach to existing wiring and plumbing to rear of power center. Switch mounted on side of closet that is above power center.
