Need 110V wiring advice

This time I have a doooozy. I moved the camper a 2018 3791 RD from site 45 to site 42 in the same campground. After the move the ceiling fan and light in the kitchen no longer work. Also the outlet in the tv recess is now dead as well. None of the circuit breakers have triped. All other outlets and things work as normal. Tomorrow I will take outlet apart and check for loose wires. Then I will go to circuit breaker panel and see if I can find anything loose there. The ceiling fan is not marked as to what breaker it is. Don't know how to determine this without taking the fan down from the ceiling and start tugging on wires. I dont know of a good Mobile tech in this area and I dont want to start a seek and destroy mission either. Can anyone help Please.

John

First don't bother taking the fan down to tug on wire. The romex is supposed to be stapled every 4.5 ft and within 12" of the box it is terminated in. Despite the fact that I don't think this is your issue based upon what you have shared check that your GFCI outlet is not tripped. They are not supposed to use the feed through for non-gfci loads but sometimes things happen. Also manually turn breakers completely off and then on. A tripped breaker sometimes can be easily overlooked especially with the trim cover for the PD distribution centers. The outlets in RV's are self contained devices (SCD) It's pretty hard to get the wire out of the connection points due to mechanical agitation when they are installed properly. The RV manufacturer's are probably the only folks that pay the $750 for the specialized tool to install SCD's.

Thanks Fireguy. The gfci is ok. It seems there is only 1 in the trailer. It resides in the bathroom. There is another outlet on the kitchen island but that one works and it has a label on it that it is GFCI protected. The fan/light in kitchen and outlet behind TV quit at the same time. I hope I find a loose wire on one of the circuit breakers.

More likely site 42 has one dead leg. Also hope the legs are at least 120 volts. All power in the USA is supposed to be 120 volts.

I use a device like this to identify non energized wires: https://www.amazon.com/Generator-Ind...s%2C115&sr=8-2
It's great because in these thin wall RV's you can tell where the wires are running through the walls and ceilings.

I was going to suggest the same as Bob. Occam’s razor - the simplest explanation is probably correct. The odds of all that wiring, on different circuits going bad at once is very low. The chance of a wire being loose on one leg is much more likely. Have the park come out with a meter and check the pedestal. Or, if you can plug into another pedestal temporarily it would be even better. Best of luck. Let us know what the problem ends up being.

I’m going with a dead leg to. There is very little chance something happened moving your camper a few feet.

As to GFCI, some rigs have a GFCI outside also - which runs some things inside. I forget where this is at tho - someone will chime in I am sure.

Problem found/solved

The 50 amp cord leading from lthe pedestal to the camper was not fully inserted into outlet on camper wall. I have the same problem as many others in not starting from the beginning and check all simple things first and then work on to the more complicated stuff.

Glad it got fixed.
By the way the ceiling fans in 2018 models are 120v.

From over 35 years of experience, when troubleshooting any electrical circuit, always start at the power source and follow the path.
