Keep door open
Hi all, I have a 2021 Montana 3121rl and the door has no latch to hold it open. On Windy days it wants to swing back and forth. What do you guys do to hold your door open? Thanks.

I put one of these on my unit. Seems like every RV I have had before this one had a door holder. It’s an easy install.

That looks like a good idea, I'll have to get one. Thanks.

Bruce,
A bungee cord will also work for those real windy days.

We took a pair of the magnets that hold the basement door open on the curbside on the newer units and since you have a 2021 unit you should know what I'm talking about. We've been in some really windy conditions and the magnets hold the door open with no problem.

The magnets might be like these from Trekwood...

I bought my magnets from my local dealer that I bought my unit from. I purchased 6 pair of them for any future use that I might need them for or for putting double pairs of magnets on if needed. So far I have not needed to double them up. Since my unit is white I have white magnets.

I went with a magnet like the ones that keep the basement door open. I placed it near the bottom of the door where it would meet the side of the Monty just above the trim. When I get a chance I'll post pictures.

We also bought the magnets like the ones that hold open the basement doors. We bought them at Camping World so you should be able to get them on the website if you are having trouble finding them. We put one at the top of the door and one at the bottom, just to be safe. Those winds can be pretty strong!!

I like the magnets that hold the storage doors up. Got mine at Amazon.

I bought an adjustable shower rod at Lowe’s. Store it in the outdoor kitchen.
