IOTA IDP-240 voltage question.

We are remodeling a 2006 Montana 3400. Not connected to shore power yet, just hooked up a 12 volt battery. I'm trying to figure out why when I remove the 12 volt fuses IOTA IDP-240 shows 12.8volts (battery) on one side of the fuse block but shows 11.5 on the led side of the block. Is this an indication of the IDP distribution panel gone bad?
My wife's project, but I'm guessing this will be one more thing I have to replace...UGHHH:

I guess I don't understand "...shows 11.5 on the led side of the block....". When you pull the fuse, one side should have battery voltage (12.5 is good) and the other side should have zero. What is the LED side of the block? A picture might help as it has been a long time since I played with a 2006 (I thought the converter was an Iota and the fuse panel was some other generic?)

You might be reading phantom voltage getting 11.5 volts. If your voltmeter is digital, change the range so you see just 00.0 places. There might be leakage across the fuse block.

This confusing to me. All CBs are OFF so the converter is not producing 12V power. F6 (for example) should have battery voltage on the lower pin (where the 12V system connects) and zip on the upper one (which goes off to some 12V device).
I have no idea why the LED is illuminated but, then again, I don't quite understand how that system works. But assuming a 12V light or such on that circuit is in the ON position, the LED is supposed to illuminate if the fuse is blown. Obviously the F6 fuse is "blown" and the LED is on. Exactly how it gets its voltage to light up is beyond me.

figured it out

Hi Carl,
Well when I stopped thinking this was just going to be another expense and took the time to follow the voltage I figured it out. If you look close at where the fuse plugs in you see a circuit board, follow it to the red led and there is a resistor next to it. What I believe is the voltage is coming thru the resistor when the fuse is blown or missing. When the fuse is in place the voltage goes thru it due to less resistance. Traced out all the wires, found a short on F6 and F11 goes to the water heater. All is good, now I get to move forward and hook us up to 120v and see if the invertor is working before I put the panels back into place. Thanks for helping me to step back and take a second look....
