Ice Storm
We had a really bad ice storm here this week. Alot of power outages, and accidents. 7 degrees tonight, but it's better than it was! there was aprox. 45,000 people without power at one point. Hope all is well in FLA!

Bad ice storm here too. We have had power outages everywhere. A large tree was uprooted next to our house...right next to the Monty even, and it took out a power pole and the electric lines. We only lost power for about 6 hours Saturday, which is surprising considering we have power lines down in our yard. But, the poles bent and pulled the wires down without breaking them. They are still on the ground tonight, and am getting worried about that. We called the power company again, and they were putting in another work order to make sure they get fixed. Just glad they didn't come down on top of the camper! We took refuge in the Monty while the power was off, and it was nice and toasty warm.

Right now there are just over 90,000 people without power in Oklahoma and McAlester is pretty much frozen solid. They have the most population where the ice storm hit. Reguardless if you have to go through Oklahoma on the Interstate be very cautious. The roads are slick and I don't wnat any of Y'all gettin hurt.

It sure does seem that most of the nasty winter weather has moved south this year. Up here in Minnesota we just finally got a snow cover of a couple inches. Very unusual - it was raining just a couple weeks ago and we had a brown Christmas (almost turned green).
Sub zero temps are now upon us and we'll be on the upward temp trend in a few weeks.
I feel for those going through a rough season.
