2019 Rocky Mountain Rally

Second day of rally is about complete. Enjoying old friends and meeting new. Day 1 we spent in Rocky Mountain National Park enjoying its beauty and grandeur. Went up Trail Ridge Road to its highest point just under 12,000 feet, just beautiful. Today we began with breakfast together at Trailhead Restaurant just outside the Park. We next toured the historic Fall River Stanley Hydro Plant, very informative as F. O. Stanley used this to power his Hotel and the town of Estes Park. Very fascinating and great history of F. O. Stanley and his brother and the flood that ended the Plant. In the afternoon we did the Stanley Hotel tour. Beautiful and full of history and hauntings, and was a lot of fun. Tonight will be relaxing and enjoying a classic rock band in the lodge and some group time around a fire. For some pics to this point go to photos and look at the 2019 Rocky Mountain Regional Rally album.

Sounds like fun. Wish we were there. Travel is out until Linda gets her new hip Sept. 19th.

Wish we could be there, too. Next year we should be back.
