All I can say is ... WOW!

Gives new definition to the Long-Long Trailer! Good advise given at 36:30 minutes in the video.

I've seen a lot of RV videos, but this one really made me say ...... wow!

Saw that video yesterday too. I thought I heard one of the tow truck persons say alcohol played a role?

Not surprised, but a lot of folks don't realize what's going on back there.

Looking at what I can see of the curve, the truck/5er combo should have had no problem making it around - unless the driver had had too many of those Bud Lights. Where the truck is parked shows he was way too far to the inside of the curve. Bud can get you!

Looks like the guy needed to use a little common sense and maybe a little less alcohol.

Very sad to watch. However, you will see some strange things people do who tow RV's, 5th wheels and bumper pulls. Nothing surprises me any longer.

Probably some expensive repairs to jacks and undercarriage.

Very painful to watch. Based on the stripe color, wasn't that a 2021 MHC?

Some folks pull a trailer like they're driving their family sedan. Got to make those turns WIDE!

On our list trip I missed a turn. I kept looking for a place to turn around but didn't find anything suitable. The road we were on turned to gravel. Still no place to turn around. Up and down some good grades and some tight turns. Fortunately, no where near as tight as in the video tho. We ended up in a little town that was only a mile from the road we wanted. Whew!

This is the type of roads we have every where. To get to our property it’s a ninety degree turn across a 16 foot wide bridge five feet from a one lane road. It was twelve foot bridge until two years ago. You learn how to drive on a crooked road and watch the back of your camper. No problem.

I see many folks forget they are hauling an aircraft carrier behind them. The truck is in the oncoming lane and should be way over to the right. I've driven the Smokies and this is only one of many turns that look worse than they are.

There is a portion of the Generals Highway (CA 198) through Sequoia National Park where big rigs, RV’s and 5th wheels are not allowed due to the tight turns and switch backs. The highway was laid out and built over 100 years ago. It was designed for the Ford Model T, not today’s recreation vehicles. There is lots of National Park signage telling drivers of the danger and large vehicles and towed vehicles are not allowed past Giant Forest. Needless to say, some drivers don’t feel the signage applies to them.

Eight years ago on a motorcycle ride through this portion of Sequoia Park, we followed a large Cardinal 5th Wheel heading down the mountain towards Three Rivers. Like this video, we watched as the driver didn’t take a turn wide enough and his right side trailer wheels dropped off the roadway into a creek bed. The trailer then crushed the right side of the pickup truck bed due to the pinched angle of the trailer. It took hours and a semi-wrecker to get this guy out of his predicament. The Park Rangers and CHP officers said this happens several times each summer. I’m sure this guy received a hefty fine and a huge towing bill. Watching this video certainly brought back the memory of watching it happen all over again.

Don

Between that video and the idiot trying to pull a 5th wheel through a Dairy Queen drive through, it does keep us entertained.

Some driver just feel those signs don't mean them.
Near our home base there is a very low Train Overpass and a few years ago a Double Decker Tour Bus ignored all the Flashing Lights and Warning and tried to go under. Killed the front passengers in the upper deck.
