Important instructions for Amish Dinner

Since we have a lot of newbies I know there will be questions that you will have so I will try to answer them here.
First of all the address is 2400 S 1100 W Shipshewana. There will be a map in the rally booklet with a map in it for Millers Country Kitchen

There is a road closed sign just before you get to the Millers, the part of the road that is closed is just after the road to the Millers so you can ignore that sign

For the Dinner, you NEED to have tickets to get in--No Tickey, No Foody.

Any questions, please see me, Jan Kelpe or you can call me on 402-659-2574.

Please do not arrive before 4:30 and you need to Truck pool (all trucks should have 4 people in them) as much as possible due to limited area for parking and the large number attending. If you arrive before the people directing the parking do you will probably have to move your truck.

For those of you who are handicapped the "parkers" will give you directions so you can drop off the individual and the people that are doing the parking will be happy to park your vehicle if the distance between the parking area and house are too far to easily walk.

For first timers, let it be known, that leaving and arriving well before the appointed hour will have this benefit:

Time to drive the beautiful countryside and gawk.

It will NOT allow you access to the food before anyone else.

It may prove to be troublesome if we drive on our hosts lawn and park in "off limits" areas.

In other words, other than sightseeing, there is no benefit to being early.
